STANDARD SCREEN ANALYSIS
Following satandar screen analysis result a Blend sand is used to make up the deficiencies in sand deposits and crusher screenings. Grading deficiencies vary, but generally are in the No. 16, 30 and 50 size ranges. Mixing blend sand that has a high percentage of normally deficient sizes with natural sand will result in a properly graded sand. The precise mixture of blend sand to natural sand varies in each installation and depends on the natural deposit. The ability of a Gyradisc Crusher to maintain constant product analysis in a closed circuit operation makes it ideally suited for the production of blend sand. Uniform product analysis is important in sand production because the allowable variation in the fineness modulus frequently is no more than 0.15. Gyradisc Crusher feed is usually a minimum ½” pre-screened at the closed circuit screen opening. Screening is dry with the opening normally at No. 8, 10 or 12.
