RECOVERING GOLD BY FROTH FLOTATION
Most of the metallurgical advances on the treatment of auriferous ores have been focused on hydrometallurgical processes. However, it is possible to employ the froth flotation process in order to get concentrates from veins with important contents of precious metals. Considering the aspects mentioned above, some research laboratories are still investigating the best way that can make possible to recover gold by froth flotation. The next lines will present three cases. The first one considers a direct flotation process, and the second one, try to get a selective flotation between pyrite and arsenopyrite. The third case is referred to a sample that contains free gold.
