Nordberg gyratory crushers
The condensed information on these pages is only a guide in determining the size and operating data of a Nordberg Primary Gyratory Crusher for a particular application. Crusher capacities in these tables are given in short tons (2000 lbs.) per hour and are based on average operating conditions when handling a dry friable material weighing 100 lbs./cu. ft. (crushed). Factors which may affect capacity include hardness, toughness, fracture pattern, moisture content, size gradation of the feed material and method of feeding.
For specific or special recommendations the following information should be submitted to Rexnord for analysis.
- Type or nature of material to be crushed
- Information pertaining to the material to be crushed: work index, compressive strength, bulk density, moisture content, (Rexnord’s process crusherry test center has facilities for determining the work index, if samples are available).
- Method of feeding: Direct dump, feeder, scalping (Indicate capacity or rate of feeding unit).
- Size of largest rock in the feed.
- Approximate or average screen analysis of material to be fed to the crusher.
- Size of product required.
- Capacity desired (in tons per hour).
Application recommendations for settings smaller or larger than those listed abode will be made by Rexnord upon receipt of full technical data.
The horsepower column represents the maximum design horsepower. These ratings do not refer to the horsepower required for capacities listed. In general, the recommended size, type and capacity of the crusher can be determined from the information contained in the above selection data. Horsepower for specific applications can be determined. See Pages 2-4 through 2-11.
The countershaft RPM specified for each crusher has been selected for the most economical motor for a direct drive arrangement. When a “V” belt drive is employed a relatively higher speed motor may be used with a corresponding saving in motor and drive costs. Recommendation of specific drives will be made by Rexnord on receipt of full information.
