BACKING MILL LINERS

 Nordbak Backing Material, when used as a mill liner backing material, will prevent shell erosion due to slurry or pulp racing, liner breakage because of non-uniform fit of the liner castings on the shell, and the loosening and shifting of liners during operation. It is being used successfully to back Nordite and Chrome-moly Castings in rod and ball mills used in the mining industry and raw and finish mills in the cement industry.

Nordbak Trowel Mix provides the same basic functions as the Backing Material. The paste-like Trowel Mix is applied to the back and bolt holes of new mill liners (see figure 2) before the bolts are inserted and tightened. It is also recommended for backing head liners, division heads, and diaphragms in all types of mills.
